The global recall of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has cost billions of dollars to the company. However, Samsung is determined to launch the Galaxy Note 8 with a bang in 2017.
Galaxy Note 7 customers have been disappointed with the entire battery explosion fiasco with the phablet. A previous Tech Times report noted that Samsung has announced an upgrade program (only in South Korea) that allows Galaxy Note 7 owners to exchange their potentially faulty handset for a Galaxy S7 phone at a 50 percent discount.
Customers who enroll for the upgrade program will also have the option to exchange their Galaxy S7 device for a Galaxy S8 or a Galaxy Note 8 when they are made available.
