Hack allowed anyone to vandalise Donald Trump’s website

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign had a flaw in its website that allowed anyone to write slogans across the top of it, creating some light relief for anyone shocked at the result of Tuesday’s US election.

Visitors to donaldjtrump.com, the Republican candidate’s official website, were able to edit the URL so that it displayed any message they would write in white capital letters.

The flaw, which was quickly fixed, was used to put messages on Trump’s website claiming he had conceded defeat.
