Huawei Unveils Honor 5A: 5.5-Inch Smartphone With 3,100 mAh Battery And 13 MP Camera

The battle of the entry-level smartphones is heating up as Chinese OEMs compete with each other to offer under $125 Android-powered handsets that are feature rich.

Meizu unveiled its $106 m3s smartphone on Monday, June 13, and giving it stiff competition will be the Honor 5A from Huawei, which debuted on Sunday, June 12, and has the same pricing.

Huawei took the wraps off its Honor 5A smartphone at a press event in Beijing, with the company’s CEO Ren Zhengfei asserting that the affordable handset was targeted at luring younger consumers because of its attractive pricing.
