OnePlus, maker of the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2, has started on an incremental release of OxygenOS 2.1.0, the third OTA update for OnePlus 2.
Through a forum post, dated Sept. 21, OnePlus announced that it has begun to roll out OxygenOS 2.1.0 to a small percentage of OnePlus 2 owners. If the first wave of updates is successful, the manufacturer will proceed with a broader release aimed to reach more devices.
The released update is roughly 39 MB, but as far as mobile software updates go, this is quite an extensive one since it contains improvements that will influence user experience. It also contains fixes for various bugs found in OxygenOS 2.0 that got shipped with the handset and builds upon the previous improvements and fixes that came with OxygenOS 2.0.1 and OxygenOS 2.0.2.
